Upcoming Release: Color Fields & Figures on Canvas

I feel really proud of this series of paintings. Two things that are really important to me when creating my work are that they feel like “me” when they are completed and that to some extent they feel effortless and fun while creating. Each of these has felt this way. I started most back in the fall, but some I’ve been painting and re-painting for a few years. I began this series obsessed with the color green and all it’s beautiful variations and have unexpectedly ventured into some pinkish & blue hues as well.

I’ve become more and more drawn to the idea of creating artwork that draws you in from it’s hue more than it’s detail. I’ve been exploring that concept with these very large color fields. They feel very emotional to me, and immersive in the largest sizes.

I’m equally interested in form and that is what I’m exploring in my figurative paintings. They feel quiet and gentle, placed in mostly monochromatic but vibrant colors. I’m always exploring shape in my abstracts as you’ll see as well.

You can see them all in the gallery below. Thanks for all the kind words so far. Feel free to reach out with any questions!

(Sizes range from 16x20” to 48x60”)

I suggest you join my email list for early access at 10am tomorrow.
