Madrid & Barcelona on Film

I am a total film amateur and have hardly ever taken the time to use my light meter, but I still love to use my little film camera. These photos are especially… amateur… because my camera was damaged shortly before our trip. Most images turned out out-of-focus or just straight up un-usable, but I still love them.

I always get asked what camera I use and on this trip I used my Pentax ZX-50 (a gift from an old neighbor!). I like to leave it on auto, especially on vacation with small kids because I don’t have time to get the lighting right. I’m sure I could get better images using my light meter, but it’s worth it to me to be able to quickly capture my family instead and move on.

Our 2 week trip was bookended by stays in Madrid, with about 5 days in Barcelona in the middle. It was a perfect amount of time, and we can’t waiitttt to go back.
