McGee & Co x Melody Joy McMunn
This past year I had the great joy of working on an exclusive collaboration with McGee & Co. We ended up developing two abstract reproductions as a part of their SM Collection of artwork that were released this past fall. This is only the 3rd time they have worked exclusively with an artist so I feel incredibly honored to be on that short list!
It’s hard for me to overemphasize how exciting this process and release has been, so I hope it’s ok if I gush a bit. I have been a long-time admirer of Shea and Syd McGee and all they have done through their design firm, Studio McGee & McGee & Co. In just the last year they have released a best selling Target collection, a book, and a hit Netflix series!
As an artist located in Lexington, KY I have often worried that I am too separated from the rest of the art & design world to be able to land any major partnerships like this. I’m so thankful Shea found me and wanted to work together. I owe so much to the connective power of social media, and prayer… seriously I have prayed and hoped for these kinds of opportunities most of my 20’s, it’s surreal to see them playing out!

Below are the two works I have available for purchase through McGee & Co. They are both framed hand finished in sizes 30x30” (Quiet) & 36x36” (Stillness).
It was exciting to get the catalogue in the mail and see my artwork on the cover! In the background… but exciting either way ;) I had a clipping of some art from a McGee & Co catalogue last year on my vision board for the year and never could have guessed by years end it would happen!
I’m so grateful for this opportunity and the doors it has opened for me. Thank you for following along and supporting me.
