Loving Lately | September 2020
I had to check the date to confirm that I was about to write a blog post in SEPTEMBER of 2020 (!!) I know I am not the only one that cannot believe how quickly time is passing. While the days mostly feel the same in the land of staying at home that we’ve been living in, we’ve been able to make some special memories this summer with family while trying to be as safe as we can be. I feel a bit like I’m coming up for air from the summer which is likely why I feel I have the time to write this blog post.
Every now and then I enjoy curating a little post of things I’ve been loving. I was just telling a friend how pulling together mood boards helps me process where I’m at creatively. Especially when I fall out of my artistic practice for a time, it’s helpful to see everything I’ve been inspired by pulled together and seek out the commonalities.
1. Creative Lady Bosses - what’s not to love? Women are awesome. Something about these images reminds me that the joy is right in the middle of the work.
2. Westman Atelier
I’ve had a difficult time finding clean beauty products that I love. After hearing so many people rave about Westman Atelier I ordered their contour stick when I ran out of my bronzer. I was hesitant about the price but it has lasted me longer than products I have used in the past so I can justify it. I just ordered their blush and will likely order the foundation when my current foundation runs out.
I really love the contour stick and I hear the foundation stick looks so much like your natural skin while providing good coverage.
3. Comfy Sets
I know everyone is obsessed with stylish comfies because of extended time at home during Covid. But I have been on a hunt for maximum cozy wear ever since I saw this photo of Hailey Beiber maybe a year ago?
I bought this set from Koo De Ker a few months back and have loved it so so much.
The last image is from a brand called Filoro that I’ve been stalking because it gets me close to that Hailey Beiber ‘fit. And it’s cashmere! Doesn’t that sounds nice? Is it lame to ask for a loungewear set for ones 30th birthday?
4. New Morning Mercies by Paul David Tripp
I’ve been putting in extra effort to prioritize my spiritual life. I don’t talk about my faith too often on any of my platforms, but it’s a big part of my life. It’s so easy for me to slip out of a good routine, but I know I’m best when I spend time with Jesus. I’ve been reading this devotional since the Winter and Paul’s commentary on scripture has meant so much to me.
That’s all for now! I hope you’ve had a wonderful week so far. If you’re reading this I’m so grateful you care at all about anything I like or create :)
